The Villa by MAYA is open for dining and drinks Wednesday through Sunday from 12pm until late.

For groups of 17 guests or more, please reach out to us directly at bookings@maya-mexican.com.au and we will respond to your reservation request via email.

Please note that groups of 8 or more are required to dine on our shared menu, available here.

We operate on two hour booking times. We ask that the table is returned after this time to accommodate other guests

Drinks-only bookings are available from 9:30pm onwards.

At The Villa by MAYA, we strive to maintain a distinctive atmosphere in our restaurant and bar. We kindly invite our guests to embrace an elevated dress standard that reflects the defined elegance and individuality of our establishment. We believe that dressing up adds to the overall experience and we ask that you embrace this notion as well.

Guests who do not adhere to the guidelines below may be denied entry at the discretion of our management team. We kindly ask you to share this dress code with your guests to ensure everyone arrives ready to enjoy the environment as it was intended.

Never Permitted: To preserve the atmosphere of The Villa, overly casual attire is not permitted and entry will be respectfully declined. The following items do not align with the ambience we aim to cultivate:

• Flip flops

• Athletic Wear and Sports Brands

• Men’s Singlets

• Hoodies

• Baseball Caps, Beanies

Night Time Dress Code:

To ensure smooth entry, gentlemen are strongly encouraged to wear a collared shirt or a tailored jacket/blazer worn over a t-shirt.

The following items are not permitted after 9pm onwards:

• Graphic T-shirts and Garments with Large, Visible Logos

• Ripped Denim

• Casual Sandal & Flip-Flops

• Bum Bags

• Sunglasses

Tattoo Policy
MAYA prohibits tattoos that may be considered offensive. Head and face tattoos are not permitted unless they hold cultural significance.

Our venue has been carefully furnished with stunning décor, and we find that it does not need much to make it feel special! To maintain our unique look, we generally do not permit guests to bring decorations unless pre-approved by our Bookings Manager. We kindly ask for your understanding in refraining from bringing balloons, confetti, or costumes into the venue, as these items are prohibited.

Should you have any specific requests or ideas for special occasions, please feel free to reach out to our Bookings Manager for approval.

Our venue offers drinks packages for groups of 40 people or more. If you are interested in hosting an event, please get in touch with our Events Team at events@maya-mexican.com.au to learn more about what we offer.

At the commencement of your booking, you can split the payment over one or two cards. Guests can set up a bar tab for their table or order and pay for their drinks at the bar. The Villa by MAYA does not do itemised split bills.

Our venue does not host celebrations for minors, 18th or 21st birthdays. Please be advised, aligned with our T&C’s, The Villa by MAYA reserves the right to refuse any reservation, we believe to be of this nature, without notice.

Our venue does welcome walk-in guests. However, please note that our ability to welcome walk-in guests is dependent on capacity at the time, along with the weather. As a result, it is recommended guests make a booking where possible as we have limited availability for walk-ins.

Our venue does not have air conditioning; however, we've strategically placed fans throughout the venue to ensure a comfortable experience during the warmer months.

Being a rooftop venue, we're fortunate to enjoy refreshing breezes and the warmth of sunshine. Additionally, our venue features retractable awnings and roofs, providing ample shade from the sun and protection during inclement weather, including rain.

Please be aware that poor weather conditions may impact our ability to accommodate walk-in guests. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in such situations.

Our venue does not have any onsite parking, however, there is on-street parking throughout Fortitude Valley. McLachlan Street, Wickham Street, and Bridge Street are within walking distance of The Villa. Please be aware of street signage and any parking requirements. There is also Secure Parking in the McWhirters Building, which is accessed via Warner Street.

The Villa by MAYA has live DJs Thursday-Sunday. To ensure the comfort of all guests in the venue, we do not allow guests to have their own music, entertainment or audio unless they have booked out the venue exclusively for a private function. Guests may present speeches to their table of guests but audio equipment will not be provided.
